There are some people who see an empty piece of land.
My husband sees possibilities.
If you’re following along with our journey, you've probably noticed all the flowers, chickens, and plans for Fowler Homestead. What many people don't know is that this dream really started with him.
The hatchery was his idea.
Long before there was a website or pages filled with chicken breeds, he was talking about building something of our own. He wanted a place where our family could work together, where our kids could grow up learning the value of hard work, and where we could leave something meaningful behind.
Life hasn't always been gentle with him.
There have been disappointments, setbacks, long days, and seasons that would have made a lot of people quit. Like all of us, he's had moments where he wasn't at his best. But one thing I've always admired is that he keeps showing up.
He gets up early, works long hours, comes home tired, and somehow still finds the energy to talk about the next project, the next chicken coop, or the next dream.
He doesn't always have everything figured out.
None of us do.
But he never stops trying to build a better life for our family.
As we're putting together this website and dreaming about what Fowler Homestead might become one day, I want people to know that this place exists because of a man who refused to stop dreaming—even when life gave him plenty of reasons to.
I'm proud of you, Charlie.
Thank you for working so hard for our family, for believing in this dream before either of us knew what it would look like, and for continuing to show up—even on the days when you feel like you don't have much left to give.
I can't wait to see where this journey takes us.
Love, Ashley
