Looking Up

The other night, after another summer rain, I found myself thinking about this picture.

It's an older photo, but I still remember standing on the porch and looking up to see this rainbow stretched across our little corner of the world.

Life has a way of keeping us focused on what's next. The next goal. The next project. The next thing we hope to build.

Lately, that's looked like dreaming about a hatchery, planning a flower garden, writing blog posts, and learning as we go. Some days it feels like we're making huge progress. Other days it feels like we're standing still.

But maybe growth isn't always obvious.

Maybe it's learning something new.
Maybe it's writing one more blog post.
Maybe it's simply choosing not to give up.

Rainbows don't last very long, but they have a way of making you stop, breathe, and remember that beauty often shows up when you least expect it.

I'm thankful for little reminders like this—old pictures that still make me smile and remind me that every dream starts somewhere.

Yours truly,
